Director of the Warrior Transition Office in the Northern Regional Medical Center Jean Whalen explains that she and the staff at Fort Belvoir are present to answer questions and explain military procedure. One drawback of a lot of the donations is that no transportation is involved and to get from the base to an event is often not possible as the military does not provide transportation for soldiers engaging in recreational activities.
