Detectives from FCPD Criminal Investigations Division are investigating multiple burglaries in the Woodlawn and Sacramento Shopping Centers.
Tuesday, around 10:30 a.m., officers responded to 8754 Richmond Highway in Woodlawn for a burglary report. Employees arrived and found that the business had been burglarized overnight. Surveillance footage revealed an unidentified male forcibly entered the business by breaking the front door with a tool around 4:40 a.m. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
During a canvass of the shopping center, detectives discovered another business at 8740 Richmond Highway with a shattered window at the rear of the premises. After conducting a walkthrough, detectives determined that the suspect had been unable to gain entry to the business.
Since Dec. 30, there have been a total of five burglaries and one attempted burglary reported at the Woodlawn and Sacramento Shopping Centers.
