My wife and I are members of a local yacht club, which sits on land that was once a part of George Washington's Mount Vernon estate. We poor retirees can't afford a yacht, but we have two kayaks and and a canoe. We especially enjoy our many friends there, the weekly TGIF gatherings, the periodic parties with various cutesy themes, etc. And we do mooch boat rides with friends from time to time. I'm betting that, if President Washington were alive today, he would join our club. Can't you see George tooling upriver in his yacht, docking at the Martha Washington Center (now known as The Kennedy Center), and enjoying a concert by the Colonial Symphony Orchestra?
