Inova Mount Vernon Hospital CEO Deborah Addo says a few words to mark the beam-signing milestone of the hospital’s new emergency department, set to open the week of November 14, 2016.

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital CEO Deborah Addo joined other guests, donors, hospital employees and community members April 19 to sign the final steel beam going into the new Veatch Family Emergency Department.

“This milestone celebrates Inova Mount Vernon’s commitment to those we serve; it’s all about partnership,” Addo said. “Together, we are a committed, connected community. They say you should always be so proud of the work you do, that you would put your name on it. Well, we are and we did.”

The new 21,000-square-foot department, scheduled to open the week of Nov. 14, will feature 35 private treatment rooms, dedicated space for children, “Fast-Track” treatment rooms for patients with less serious injuries and two new rooms for resuscitation emergencies.
